Tilden Car Care Center of Huntington is a family owned business and has been since 1964 when Joseph Montefusco who was the manager at the Tilden for Brakes in Huntington, which opened it doors in 1959 by Sydney G. Tilden the founding family of Tilden for Brakes est. 1923.
The Tilden family has long been associated with the automotive repair industry. S.G. Tilden, Inc. was founded by the late Sydney G. Tilden in 1923. Prior to 1966, all Tilden brake shops were owned by S.G. Tilden, Inc. and operated by company employees.
In the early 60‘s franchise was the new business craze as McD’s was opening hundreds of franchises, Sydney G. Tilden offered Joseph Montefusco the opportunity to be the first Franchisees of S.G. Tilden, Inc.. Joseph took on the new opportunity with his wife Nancy Montefusco by his side managing all the books and paper work. Together they build a great business. Growing from just performing Brake and Front-end work to a complete line of Automotive repair work, doing all auto repair work except body work. including State Inspections. We have been dedicated to providing our customers with superior workmanship ever since then.
